Egyptian Bastet Leather Mask by b3designsllc Egyptian Bastet Leather Mask by b3designsllc
Here's my mask of the Egyptian goddess, Bastet (or Bast).

Bastet was originally seen as a deity associated with the sun, but as the Egyptians adopted another goddess, Sekhmet, Bastet was later seen as a lunar deity.
She was also known as a patron of felines, as a protector of women, and inspired music and dance.

Bastet was always depicted with a sistrum, an Ancient Egyptian musical instrument, which is engraved in the center of her headpiece.

Made from 8oz leather, painted with acrylics and embellished with a Swarovski crystal!

I totally may want this. >W< It's beautiful! Beautifully made, beautifully inspired and I think I may want to draw Bastet in it. If you wouldn't mind? ^^

It's just lovely! Definitely will have to buy it someday. <3~

omg ~i haven't even seen this one yet- what a lucky black cat (: i love the stories behind these~ you could have a masked mythical ball by now- (: and it would be glamorous because of all the crystals (: (the centerpiece is awesome- such a cool signature thing~ i wonder what one of those instruments sounded like~ it looks pretty complex... & kindof dangerous)

Having a masked ball would be hella fun!

Her sistrum is a percussion instrument so I would imagine it to be sort of like a tambourine and yeah, it does look a little dangerous lol
