Assassin's Creed - Altair's Belt by b3designsllc Assassin's Creed - Altair's Belt by b3designsllc
Here's my newest progress in my recreation of Altair's costume from Assassin's Creed: the kidney belt.

The belt is made from three separate pieces of 7/8oz tooling leather, which was dyed and then hand stitched together. The brown pouch and two bottle holsters were made of 4/5oz leather and the two black pouches is a thinner oil tanned leather.

Next up is the shoulder harness/holster!

This is amazing! Beautiful work! Any chance you would take a commission for this set?

Thanks a lot!  I'm currently not doing commissions for cosplay related pieces, as I don't have much experience making sized pieces for other people.  If by chance you were local to the Orlando, FL area, then possibly!

Thanks man. I know it will take me a while, but I want to create every assassin's creed costume, even if it takes 10 years

Good luck!  This costume has been put on the back burner for now as I am currently working on a different rogue from a different game :)

Well when you get around to finishing it, I know you will have a masterpiece of a costume on your hands. :)

If only I have leatherworking skills... o.O Yours looks really awesome! :D

I'm hoping to get an Altair outfit together for next year's convention (starting early so I can get things sorted out without rushing). Will be making the basic outfit myself but getting the rest's going to be fun... xD
Just curious, is working with leather difficult?

Thanks!

Leather working is very enjoyable.  However, the start-up fees can be quite expensive.  All the various tools you'll need can add up, but if you start with just a couple essential tools, you can definitely start on simple projects.  If there is a Tandy Leather Factory nearby, I highly recommend going to some of their classes (which they have every Saturday).

Np!

I shall have to see if there's any leather factory around here (I'm in Aus :) ). And yeah, I figured it'd be pretty pricey with getting the tools and other things. But it looks like something I'd like to give a go :D

it's beautifulllllll

I'm making my own belt at the moment, but since I don't have much cash I've been using vinyl as a fake leather.... This is just so gorgeous it fills me with envy and awe

Thank you! I've been putting this piece off for a while myself, but managed to kick it into gear this week for some reason :)
